They climbed the mountain, to reach the top, and succeeded,
as it was the only way to access the staircase in the sky
leading to their destination. This made them very happy at first.
However they then noticed that the stairway
has a noticeable gap where it cuts out,
which they will not be able to climb past as it is far too
wide to jump to. They are almost completely out of energy
and oxygen from the journey.
So they either have to make it to their final destination,
or go back. If they go back down the way they came, it will
result in certain death due to lack of energy and oxygen.
However, there are many doors in the sky available to them.
Although, they are all in the sky, so they would have to jump
very far to even make it into one. And most of the doors
do not actually lead to anywhere, meaning they would jump
and fall to the ground and perish in most cases. One of the
doors will lead them back home. The other would lead them to the
higher part on the staircase, past the gap,
allowing them to finish their climb to the top.
Will they make it to their destination? Or even make it back
home alive? What was their final destination?
Was their trip worth it in the end?
