about
Multi-layered sound collage tracks using multiple samples per track inspired by musique concrete, electroacoustic, sound collage, vaporwave, etc. Made entirely in Audacity, somewhat as an excuse to prove I could make an interesting album using only Audacity, though I did use other vsts that weren't default effects. These are the best tracks I made during these sessions, some lesser tracks didn't make the cut.
Sounds sourced only from cds in my own physical collection, nothing downloaded off the internet this time. Doing it that way is more restrictive, but makes for a nice challenge (okay I cheated slightly, the one pop sample in track 2 you've probably all heard before, I don't own that one and downloaded it, and a couple commercials, that obviously I can't own a physical copy of. After I saw people doing no effort paulstretch remixes of their music on youtube, I decided to do a more interesting take on that idea)
All tracks sample 4 tracks, except the last track which samples 8 different tracks. It is mostly sampled from avant-garde music in my cd collection and some punk rock and a couple commercials.
Some of the samples are obscure to the point they can't even be listened to online.
